Financial Worries Highest for Chicago Parents, Lowest in Los Angeles

New parents rank money worries as their greatest challenge, ahead of sleep depravation and the rigors of caring for their baby, in survey results released today by Visa Inc.
Money and financial responsibility topped the list of challenges new parents faced after having their baby, with 21% of respondents saying it was their biggest worry. This was followed by being responsible for someone else (15%), sleep deprivation (11%), balancing work and family (9%) and just being a new parent (9%).
Chicago parents were the most worried about money, with 26% citing it as their biggest difficulty, followed by New York City (25%), Springfield, MO (25%) and San Antonio, TX (25%). In a second tier, just under a quarter of parents mention money as the greatest challenge in Austin, TX (23%), Miami, FL (23%), Springfield, IL (23%), and Philadelphia, PA (22%).
