SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., August 27, 2009 -- Hypercom Corporation (NYSE: HYC) today announced that TASQ Technology, Inc., a subsidiary of First Data, has strengthened its partnership with Hypercom by introducing the Optimum multilane terminal family to its product offering, and becoming an authorized service partner for these devices. Hypercom’s HBNet Transaction Transport Service Gains Third Consecutive PCI Certification with igxglobal

Apriva Class A Certifies Hypercom's SPOS32 on Optimum T4230

The high performance, PCI PED-approved terminal features long-range GPRS with dial backup, the industry's top security certification, 32-bit multi-application processing for maximum transaction speed and 24MB memory that is two to three times larger than similar products to accommodate value-added applications such as gift and loyalty programs.

Hypercom Reports Second Quarter 2009 Results

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Aug 04, 2009 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Hypercom Corporation (NYSE: HYC), the high security electronic payment and digital transactions solutions provider, today announced financial results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2009.

Revenue for the three months ended June 30, 2009 was $106.8 million, up 28% over first quarter 2009 revenue of $83.6 million. All regions reported significant sequential revenue gains. Revenue declined 14% compared to second quarter 2008 revenue of $124.2 million. The year-over-year decrease is primarily related to the impact of the stronger U.S. dollar on foreign denominated revenue in Europe, Brazil and Australia. Using constant foreign currency exchange rates from the prior year, revenue would have declined only 3.4% primarily due to the challenging economic environment. Read More

Hypercom Brings mobile Self-Service Ticketing to Germany’s Railways

SCOTTSDALE, AZ and BAD HERSFELD, July 28, 2009 – Hypercom Corporation (NYSE: HYC) today announced that three of the major regional rail transit operators in Germany are now using Hypercom’s Artema Modular unattended payment terminals with GPRS to speed ticketing in more than 370 trains serving over 200 million commuters and other travelers per year. The PCI-approved devices accept both debit and credit cards. The installation was recently completed at key transit hubs served by Abellio, Rheinbahn and Westfalen Bahn-operated trains. Read More
