Ingenico i3380 PIN Pad terminals at IKEA self-service check-out

IKEA finished the rollout of self-checkout systems according to plan with the beginning of summer and already obtained very positive results in the introduction phase. At these self-checkout systems customers scan their goods themselves and pay by card. This “queue busting” offer is particularly addressed to customers, who buy only a few goods and want to avoid waiting periods.

At the self-checkout systems the terminal Ingenico i3380 is used, which is connected with the overall system by the TCP/IP network. This terminal is designed by Ingenico for multi-lane retail and enables very fast transaction times. Further characteristics are the comfortable hybrid card reader and the ergonomic PIN-shroud. It offers the upmost level of security, meeting the most demanding requirements for payment transactions (PCI PED, ZKA, Interpay…).
